The Singapore-based Brazilian jockey Joao Moreira has been confirmed for a Sydney cameo in between Kranji meetings during the next 48 hours.

Moreira will ride in Singapore on Friday night before catching a midnight flight to take four stakes mounts for Nathan Tinkler's Patinack Farm operation at Warwick Farm on Saturday.

He will then return to Singapore on Sunday morning, in time for the important ride on the unbeaten Super Easy in a Group Three race at Kranji.

"I've done it before and I should be able to be fresh and get back on top of things here on Sunday, especially for the ride on Super Easy in the Three Rings Trophy," Moreira told the Singapore Turf Club website.

Moreira, who has swept all before him since arriving in Singapore in 2009, has emerged as a go-to carnival jockey for Tinkler and trainer John Thompson.

At his initial Sydney visit during last year's spring carnival he coaxed the enigmatic entire Trusting to his first win in two years with a Group Two Chelmsford Stakes victory.

More success on Trusting followed in the Hill Stakes and Moreira was in the saddle when Hussousa landed the Gimcrack Stakes at Randwick on Epsom Handicap day.

Market assessors have pinpointed Hussousa as easily the best of Moreira's four rides.

The filly is prominent in Golden Slipper betting and resumes as a clear-cut second favourite behind Magic Millions winner Driefontein in the $100,000 Widden Stakes (1100m).

"She is a very good filly," Moreira said. "When I won on her she showed great speed and ran on very strongly."

Driefontein ($1.80) and Hussousa ($2.70) are expected to provide the Widden quinella.

Moreira will link with Isopach again as the three-year-old takes his first step towards the Australian Derby in the Royal Sovereign Stakes (1200m).

"I rode Isopach in the (Victoria) Derby and I remember he was caught wide but still ran on well for fifth," Moreira said.

The 28-year-old has also been booked for Kneeling in the Light Fingers Stakes, the Group Two race for three-year-old fillies in which Patinack will also run Pane In The Glass.

As a Group One placegetter in the Champagne Stakes, Pane In The Glass commands a higher profile than her stablemate.

But a recent trial win has the Patinack team confident about Kneeling's prospects in the Light Fingers and beyond.

"Her trial was super and she could be a real smoky," Patinack's racing manager Robyn Hartney said.

Moreira will also partner staying mare Galizani in her autumn pipe-opener in the Group Two Breeders Classic.

The Singapore Turf Club was founded in 1842 as the Singapore Sporting Club to operate the

Serangoon Road Race Course at Farrer Park. It is today the only horse-racing club in Singapore

and is part of the Malayan Racing Association, which also regulates the three Turf Clubs in

Malaysia, the Selangor Turf Club, Penang Turf Club and Perak Turf Club The Singapore Turf

Club is the only authorised operator of horse racing, and totalisator (horse betting) services in

Singapore. It is the agent and proprietary club of the Tote Board, Singapore, who manages and

directs its donation of surplus funds for charitable purposes. The first race was held on 23

February 1843 when prizemoney on offer was only $150. In 1924, the Club changed its name to

the Singapore Turf Club. This was done to reflect its role as a horse racing club more accurately.

The Club moved to Bukit Timah in 1933 before relocating to its present location at the Singapore

Racecourse at Kranji in 1999. The racecourse is adjacent to Kranji MRT Station. Racing is staged

all-year round on either Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, or Wednesdays.
