Teresa Hsu Chih:Teresa Hsu Chih (7 July 1898 – 7 December 2011), or commonly known as Teresa Hsu (Chinese: 许哲; pinyin: Xǔ Zhe) was a Chinese-born Singaporean social worker, known affectionately as "Singapore's Mother Teresa", in recognition for her active life-long devotion in helping the aged sick and destitutes locally. The retired nurse was the founder of the non-profit charities—Heart to Heart Service and the Home for the Aged Sick, one of the first homes for the aged sick in Singapore. She had been a social worker in China and Paraguay and a nurse in England, before coming to Singapore to start similar non-profit charities since 1961. Now a supercentenarian, she was still actively involved in charity work to the present day. She had spent almost all her savings on feeding and housing the poor and the elderly, all of whom are younger than she was, but she herself led a simple and humble lifestyle. In 2005, she received the Special Recognition Award from the Singapore government in recognition of her contribution to the country.

Household Zhe Xu (Teresa Hsu), dedicated his life to spare no effort for the common good, but also many people appreciate and respected women in Singapore.
She was born in Chaozhou Shantou in 1898, sister of the four siblings (three female one male) ranked second child, single.
Her childhood was poor, weak education, so by self-study, and slowly enrich themselves, and later became a nurse.
In the long life, she worked in Hong Kong, England, South America, living and working in international organizations as a volunteer nurse, can speak Mandarin, English, Malay, Teochew, Cantonese, Hokkien and other languages and dialects.
In 1963, she came to Singapore, Hong Kong in the post two years later founded a residential care, residential care, who is also founder, president, patron, until 1985 due to old age to Yin.
Mdm Hsu Chih has voluntarily taken Triple Jewel and 5 precepts from Master Venerable Chin Kung, who has graded her a perfect score of 100 percents for 5 precepts. She is a very good living example for many buddhists and worldly beings to learn from her
A 10 -years old newspaper clipping from Borneo Bulletin featured on Mdm Teresa Hsu Chih at 100-years-young. She had a specially interview coverage by CNN and received an award given by Her World magazine at the same year, for her lifetime work with the poor. For her ,there is no retirement.
