MediaCorp Channel U or Channel U (U頻道; pinyin: U Píndào) is the second Mandarin Chinese channel in Singapore and was started officially began on-air broadcasting, inaugurated opened television studio station's transmission first established since on 1 January 2005 (although it had been broadcast since 6 May 2001 under SPH MediaWorks Channel U). Taking over the channel from SPH MediaWorks as a result of the media merger, it targets the younger generations of Chinese Singaporeans as an alternative channel to the more established MediaCorp Channel 8.
Greetings and salutations, fellow stargazers! It was a free-for-all for stargazers last Friday at Channel U’s tenth birthday party, FUNaMANIA, as the stars turned out at Zirca in full force to celebrate with the channel, and their fans turned up to hang out with them.
This is the homepage of Channel U, one of the sites of MediaCorpTV Singapore. It is in Chinese and English and contains TV guides with synopses of movie screenings, highlights of new programmes with story outlines and a spotlight section featuring artistes and happenings in the music and entertainment world.
