The intensely private Jobs authorized the Pulitzer-nominated Isaacson, who has also written biographies of Albert Einstein, Benjamin Franklin and Henry Kissinger, to write his story. Work on the biography began in 2009 and is based on 40 interviews with Jobs and hundreds of interviews with the Apple founder’s family members, colleagues and competitors.
